Step 3: Mapping Colors
A sloppy application of colors under the line sketch. I used the marker tool with anti-aliasing turned off underneath the sketch layer to rough in what I want the colors to be. Doing it this way made it easier to swtich out different colors to see how it looked--there may be more changes before I start to refine the image. Using mostly the traditional Halloween colors of black and orange. For the cloth parts, I used 85% gray so I can shade it later, and for details like the corset, belt, and hat trim I'm using a very dark purple, which seems to have become the third offical color for Halloween after black and orange.
